Lloyd
Loom Wired Weave
The
Original Lloyd Loom Wired Weave invented
in 1917 by Marshall Burns Lloyd as an
industrial alternative to wicker. Lloyd
Loom Wired Weave is produced from a
glued, kraft paper wrap (13.5 strands
per inch) woven with a paper covered
galvanised steel wire (2.4mm diameter)
weft.
Lloyd
Loom Wired Weave is available on rolls
and has a standard linear length of
40 meters. Widths are available from
500mm to 1400mm. The Lloyd Loom Wired
Weave is provided unglued to enable
easy forming over curved surfaces. Independent
tests have shown our Lloyd Loom Wired
Weave has a greater ductility than any
other on the market. In addition to
being more flexible and pliable (and
consequently easier to work with) the
lower brittleness of our weaves ensure
a longer life for the furniture.
